“S & L” Lovely Ladies

We explored a new location one Saturday afternoon to capture these two cuties who have both turned a year older in the last month. I can’t believe these two are another year older-time just seems to be going at lightening speed anymore! I always enjoy our time together and I love their pictures!

One Frame Friday

I snapped this picture of little man napping last weekend-a rare occurrence on the weekends anymore!

IMG_6709

I’ve got a busy holiday weekend and week ahead. We’re planning on doing lots of relaxing and outdoor activities this weekend. Next week is full of wedding preparation-my sister-in-law is getting married and I’m helping with the decorating, doing the flowers, and the photography. An evening photo shoot is also planned for next week-busy busy but I couldn’t be more excited!

I also have a session to share with you all next week-2 adorable little girls who celebrated birthdays this last month.

I hope everyone has a fabulous holiday weekend!

Calling All local artists!

I appreciate all forms of art. To be able to create something from little or nothing is inspiring. I have been creating for as long as I can remember. I’ve never been one to stick to one medium-I started making jewelry when I was probably around 7 or 8 years old; and while I still do that on occasion when the mood strikes, I have found other forms of art I love.  I’ve dabbled in lots of different mediums and even got my BS in Design. I’ve shared some of my projects on this blog in the past, and while they may not be traditional ‘art’ they were designed and created. I believe everyone has a little artist in them-you just need to explore until you find the right medium for you.

I’ve been wanting to start a personal photography project for a while now and the one idea I kept coming back to was art. Art in all forms. And all the talented local artists that live right here, in Shenandoah Valley that we may, or may not know about.

So. I’m looking. Looking for local artists who would let me in and see their craft. See them create. See what makes them tick.  What inspires them.   I want to spend the day with you and document you at work.  I want to share with everyone who you are as an artist.

Powell Family-87

I have no start date or end date for this project. I have no specials dates set aside to work on this. I will just let this project grow and flow organically like everything else.  If you or someone you know would be interested in this opportunity, please email me hartsdesire@hotmail.com so we can discuss more in depth.

My ideal candidates would be local artists, crafters, hobbyists of all types: potters, painters, fiber/textile artists, metal artists, woodworkers, musicians.  I’m even looking for local farmers, wineries, breweries, gardeners, ranchers, bakers, chefs, etc.

I can’t wait to start working on this project and meet some of you and showcase your craft.

“H” Turned 7 | Hart’s Desire Photography

“H” turned 7 last month. She is energetic and full of life. We met at a mini farm and just had the best time.

Turns out, she is somewhat of a horse whisperer too.
