Things have been changing here over the course of the year.  This blog has evolved from a DIY blog into more of a place where I get to share my photography sessions. My photography business hasbeen forming very organically and I’m loving where it’s taking me!  I hope you come along for the ride!  I’m a natural light, on location photographer in the Shenandoah Valley. If you are interested in booking a session email me so we can chat! hartsdesire@hotmail.com.  Be sure to like my Facebook page for updates on current sessions.

I am a wife, mother, and budding photographer. I’ve got a full time gig and blog my photography sessions, budget decorating, DIY projects, clothing refashions and more in my spare time.

My approach to photography is a very laid back one. I like to find a great location for my sessions and have fun! I let my clients interact with each other while I am more on the sidelines capturing the REAL moments of you and your family.  I might guide you in a few natural poses, encourage a few tickles and kisses, but mostly I let YOU be in charge of your session.  I proud myself on capturing real life moments in a photojournalist or ‘lifestyle’ with an artistic point of view.  You will never hear me ‘Say Cheese!’ or ask you to pose in an unnatural awkward way.  Together, we will capture your moments, your beauty, and your life.

Feel free to look around, in the months ahead I’ll be tidying up the blog and try to organize things a little better.  If you have any questions while looking around, please email me hartsdesire@hotmail.com

  1. You have some great ideas, and I love the Habitat Restore as well. 🙂 We found a gorgeous front door that just needed some TLC for $30!
