This family. Oh my goodness this family. I always look forward to their sessions and this past fall was nothing short of amazing. They live in the most beautiful place in the county; among mountains, streams, and the most gorgeous fall color you ever laid eyes on. Enjoy!
It was a hot one but love was in the air.
Congratulations Nikki and Chad.
More to come on their day…soon…
My little guy LOVES books. Before Christmas, we went through all of his toys. To donate what he doesn’t play with to make room for new. He was great about it. We donated a lot of toys. But he could not part with any of his books. Even the baby books.
On this particular day, we were out exploring, testing out my new camera at different locations when we decided to make a trip to the library. Our trips don’t last long, in less than 10 min he will have a stack of books so high I have to stop him or I won’t be able to carry them all!
I will treasure these pictures forever. I hope he continues his love of books and reading as he gets older.
I thought I’d do a little recap of 2012. If this year is anything like last year then it’s going to be FANTASTIC!!! These are in no particular order, just my favorites for one reason or another. Enjoy!
I want to thank everyone for your support in 2012. I wouldn’t be where I am today without each one of you. I’m looking forward to a great 2013. I hope to learn and grow more as a photographer and I’m excited about working with new clients this year!
We hit my new favorite spot for this session. The weather was gorgeous for November, we had a blast and I can’t wait to do it again next year!
Thanks guys for a great time!

More to come from this session, I just couldn’t wait to share!
One of the greatest gifts photography has brought to me this year, besides being able to capture beautiful moments, is that it’s given me the gift to catch up with friends I haven’t seen in years.
When Beth contacted me to set up a family session, I was thrilled to be able to catch up with her. I haven’t seen her in over 12 years! So much has happened to both of us since High School, it was a great chance to catch up and meet her wonderful family.
We decided to do her session at Moose Apple Christmas Tree Farm in Berryville, VA. If anyone is looking for a Christmas Tree farm to cut your tree this year, I highly recommend this farm. In addition to the great views and BEAUTIFUL trees, they also have a gift shop where most of the items are made by family members right on the farm!
And we thought this little guy was going to be the shy one!!
These guys were A LOT of fun!
Alan is a Senior at Skyline High School. We had great weather the evening we shot these and are lucky enough to live in an area with great parks that provide such beautiful locations. We even got to shoot some at the family campground they own and operate.
These next two are very similar but I like them both
Right after this shot was taken, Alan tried to put his class ring on and it ended up in the river! After a quick search during the session it was quickly abandoned due to a fast current but after a 3 hour search the next day it was found! I still can’t believe they found it but I’m glad they did!
Thank you Alan for a great session. I’m so glad you found your ring! I wish you nothing but the best during the upcoming year and for your future endeavors after graduation!

I spent an evening with this beautiful family. They are expecting their second daughter any day now. Shannon was absolutely stunning in a red dress and I think together we made a little magic that night.
Thank you “C” Family for a great evening! I hope you enjoy these pictures for a lifetime.

I haven’t seen Lori since we graduated college, dare I say, almost 10 years ago. So I was thrilled when I got an email from her wanting to get together for a visit and take some family pictures while they were in town. It was great reconnecting with her and I can’t wait until we can get together again-this time it will be sooner than 10 years!
