We already had our vacation plans set to go to the beach in June, but when an opportunity came up to spend an extra week at the beach? and at a beautiful sound-side home? we’d have to have been crazy to turn that down!
The most beautiful ‘non beach’ beach house I’ve ever set foot in.
It was originally a hunting/fishing lodge. The house has been restored and remodeled. The owners kept as much original as they could.
Original wood floors. Even the numbers on the old lodge doors were kept.
The ‘softest blanket ever’ was a gift right before this trip. He has slept with it every night since it was given to him.
What came first? The horses or the people? It’s hard to tell as the horses aren’t bothered by people at all.
These guys were literally right outside our door and crabbed all day. We were lucky enough to get almost a bushel of crabs before they hit the fish markets.
I find it amusing the things he decides to ‘collect’. He was fascinated with the crab claws.

Congrats to Bridgett! Page County’s latest High School graduate! I wish you nothing but good vibes and happiness as you start this new chapter in life.
Another year has gone by and she keeps getting more grown up and more beautiful.
I stopped by her house so she could show me her rabbit and new puppy.
We walked next door to her Grammie’s. How great to grow up so close to family!
Our little guy graduated kindergarten this past week! Man how time flies!! We wanted to do something special for his teachers as a thank you for the last 3 years(he goes to a Montessori School and has the same teacher since he was 3 and in Pre-K). We decided to make a flower arrangement for each and instead of buying something pre-made, he wanted to cut flowers from our yard. He cut all the flowers and I helped with the arranging.
He added lavender and lemon balm so the arrangements would smell good. I think his favorite part is rubbing the lemon balm leaves so he can smell the yummy fragrance!
And the final arrangements. His teachers loved them!

Miss ‘M’. Soon to be Mrs. ‘M’.
I think I could shoot boudoir everyday. I just LOVE it. Women are beautiful. Every woman. No matter the shape or size. If you’ve never thought of doing a boudoir session you really should. Do it for you-I promise you, you won’t regret it!
I’ve been working in the garden a lot lately trying to get a head start on early spring plantings and prepping the garden for the big plant in the next few weeks after the frost date. One of the things I really wanted this year are some garden markers to identify all the veggie and herbs that will be planted. There are a ton on pinterest but I set out to create my own versions with materials I had on hand.
I have a ton of wooden shims laying around from a project that never happened so I decided to use those, my wood burning tool, and fallen sticks from around the yard to create my markers. A heavy duty staple gun finished the markers and they have a great rustic look to them!
Let me know if you’ve come across any other unique garden markers; I’d love to check them out!
Little man got to go skating for the first time earlier this month. He didn’t have the best time but he was a trooper and at least went around the floor once-even after falling pretty hard.
In an attempt to keep a balance in life and to help me grow as an artist, I’ve decided to limit the number of days I am open for sessions. I work full-time in addition to photography and enjoy MANY extra curricular activities that all helps keep the creative juices flowing and I’ve learned over the last year that the balance is key to keeping me inspired. As of right now, I don’t have a set schedule, I will be making it up as I go as my family is #1 and it has to work around them.
My next scheduled session dates are June 6 & 7. If you have been thinking of scheduling a session with me; I would encourage you to do it now as I’m thinking this will be it until the weather starts to cool in the fall.
I am willing to travel a bit on these dates in an effort to keep everyone’s sessions unique to their families and personalities.
These dates are open to just about everyone: families, seniors, children, couples, and I might be able to squeeze in a boudoir session as well!
Thanks to all my existing clients and to those new who have stuck with me during this transition. I do believe that this new schedule will help me to grow as an artist in new avenues that I wish to explore and will also benefit my clients in their authentic images I am able to capture for them.
*if these June dates don’t work for your and/or you are interested in booking in the fall please be sure to send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and to like my Facebook page as I will open my book up to those individuals first before I announce it on Facebook.
Chrissy is an upcoming Senior at Osbourn Park High. We had a great time exploring our location.
Chrissy-enjoy this next year; it will be a year full of memories to last a life time!
