DIY~Homemade Diffuser Fragrance

i picked this cute-as-can be fragrance diffuser at Dollar Tree a few weeks ago

it didn’t come with any fragrance oil and i didn’t care for the scent or quality of what they sold so i thought it would be a good time to DIY some!

i saw a few recipes online, some called for oil base and some called for alcohol as a base. i’ve had some 91% alcohol that has been infused with my lavender for a while so i decided to use it as my base. i also added some peppermint essential oil which helps to bring out the lavender, and a few drops of eucalyptus oil.

i filled the vase roughly 1/3 of the way with the alcohol, added my other oils, and filled the rest of the way with water.  you know i don’t like to measure, so i just winged it with this too.  i figured even if i messed it up somehow, i was only out $1.

i put the vase on a shelf at my desk and i’m catching wifs of the scent as i type this.  it isn’t super strong; it won’t smell your whole house or even a whole room, but it is nice. i might try oil as a base next time so i have something to compare it to.
